McPherson University Boosts Community Security with Motorcycle Donation to Ajebo Police Command

The donation was formally presented on Monday, December 8, 2025, by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Francis Igbasan, to the District Officer of the Ajebo Police Command, ASP Felix Shada, during a brief handover ceremony held on the University campus.
University officials present at the event included the Acting Registrar, Mr. Olufemi Adebowale; the Bursar, Mrs. Aderonke Adeofun; Chairman of the Security Committee, Professor Michael Osho; and the Chief Security Officer, Mr. Tiamiyu Rasheed.
According to the University management, the motorcycle was donated to strengthen security operations along the Ajebo–Seriki Sotayo corridor, particularly by enhancing police mobility, expanding patrol coverage, and improving rapid-response capabilities within the host community.
Receiving the motorcycle, ASP Felix Shada expressed profound appreciation to McPherson University for the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that would significantly support the Command’s daily security operations. He commended the institution for its sustained cooperation with security agencies and its proactive role in safeguarding lives and property.
ASP Shada further assured the University community of the Police Command’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring a safe learning and working environment for students, staff, and residents of surrounding communities.
The donation reflects McPherson University’s broader strategy of strengthening town-and-gown relations while contributing meaningfully to public safety and community development.
