McPherson University Hosts NUC Accreditation Visit for Accounting Programme
McPherson University recently welcomed the National Universities Commission (NUC) to campus for the accreditation of its Accounting Programme, part of the Commission’s routine assessment to ensure Nigerian universities maintain high standards of quality and relevance in their academic offerings.
McPherson University recently welcomed the National Universities Commission (NUC) to campus for the accreditation of its Accounting Programme, part of the Commission’s routine assessment to ensure Nigerian universities maintain high standards of quality and relevance in their academic offerings.

The accreditation team, comprising Professor John Ohaka, Professor Sunday Nnalanga, and Dr. Bridget Audu from NUC, conducted a thorough evaluation of the university’s facilities, curriculum content, staffing, and learning resources supporting the Accounting Programme.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Isaac Onigbinde, alongside other principal officers, received the team and highlighted the University’s commitment to academic excellence. He assured the accreditation team that all recommendations and observations would be carefully considered and implemented to enhance programme quality.
During the visit, the NUC team commended McPherson University for providing a conducive learning environment and recognized the University Library for its well-equipped, up-to-date collections, including the latest 2026 resources.

The visit underscores McPherson University’s dedication to maintaining high academic standards, continuous improvement, and alignment with NUC expectations in teaching, research, and service delivery.
