NBSA Northeast Zone Visits BOSU, Calls for Massive Blood Donation

The National Blood Service Agency (NBSA) Northeast Zone has paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), Professor Babagana Gutti.

The team, led by Dr. Mohammed Kabir Ahmed, expressed concern over the low level of blood donations and appealed to the public to donate blood to save lives.

Dr. Ahmed highlighted the importance of blood donation, stating that "blood is life," and requested permission to organize a blood donation drive among BOSU students. He cited the success of a similar initiative at the University of Maiduguri and urged BOSU to follow suit.

In response, Professor Gutti welcomed the team and assured them of maximum support from the university. He emphasized the need for sustained public enlightenment on the importance of blood donation and pledged to collaborate with the NBSA to facilitate the blood donation drive. The university's support underscores its commitment to community service and promoting the well-being of its students and the broader community.
