NBTE Grants Full Accreditation to 22 Programmes at Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted full accreditation to 22 additional academic programmes at the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas (FPOG), Bonny, following an accreditation exercise conducted at the institution in June 2026.

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted full accreditation to 22 additional academic programmes at the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas (FPOG), Bonny, following an accreditation exercise conducted at the institution in June 2026.
NBTE, Nigeria's regulatory body for technical and vocational education, is responsible for evaluating and accrediting programmes offered by polytechnics to ensure they meet the required minimum academic standards. Accreditation is valid for five years, after which institutions are required to undergo re-accreditation.
According to the institution, the accreditation confirms that the affected programmes meet national academic and industry standards, while strengthening the credibility of its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) qualifications.
The polytechnic stated that the accreditation will enhance the legitimacy of its ND and HND certificates, facilitate credit transfers, improve access to educational opportunities and assure employers that its graduates possess industry-relevant knowledge and skills.
