NBTE Zonal Team Visits Newgate College of Health Technology to Strengthen TVET Standards
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), North Central Zonal Office, has conducted a high-level familiarisation and interactive visit to Newgate College of Health Technology, Minna. The visit is part of a strategic drive to bolster the quality of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across the region.
Led by the Zonal Director, Mr. Bello Abdul-Hakeem, the delegation delivered a goodwill message from the NBTE Executive Secretary, Professor Idris M. Bugaje. The Executive Secretary specifically lauded the institution's founder, Mallam Hassan Nuhu (Mayanan Minna), for his visionary investment in developing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Mr. Abdul-Hakeem further commended the college’s management and staff for their sustained dedication, noting that their commitment is pivotal to the advancement of TVET standards in Nigeria.

Responding to the delegation, the Provost of Newgate College, Mrs. Queendaline Opara Iwuala, expressed her gratitude for the engagement. She highlighted that such interactive visits are essential for strengthening the relationship between educational institutions and regulatory bodies.
“These engagements are vital in positioning our college among the elite institutions of health technology in the country,” the Provost stated.
The visit underscores the NBTE’s broader mandate to deepen institutional relationships and provide robust regulatory support. By fostering these connections, the Board ensures the seamless delivery of quality technical education, aligning health technology training with national benchmarks.
