New ADUN SRC President Promises Improved Students' Welfare, Stronger Management Relations

The newly elected President of the Students' Representative Council (SRC) of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Ibusa, Comrade Okeke Marvel, has pledged to prioritise students' welfare.

He also promised to strengthen communication between students and the university management.

Comrade Okeke made the pledge shortly after emerging victorious in the SRC election conducted at the institution.

He said his administration would promote academic excellence and support students' career development.

The President-elect also pledged to build a more united and vibrant student community.

He thanked God for the successful conduct of the election.

Comrade Okeke appreciated students for their support and peaceful conduct throughout the exercise.

He commended the Electoral Committee (ELCOM), led by Mr. Jesse Pwaveno, for conducting a peaceful, transparent and credible election.

Earlier, the Students' Affairs Officer, Mr. Isaac Amaga, described the election as peaceful, transparent, free and fair.

Speaking on behalf of the Dean of Students' Affairs, Mr. Amaga commended the students for their orderly conduct during the election.

He appreciated the university management for providing an enabling environment for the successful exercise.

Mr. Amaga praised the Electoral Committee for conducting a credible election that reflected the wishes of the students.

He urged the newly elected executives to discharge their responsibilities with diligence and integrity.

He advised them to avoid actions capable of causing crises and work collectively for the progress of the institution.

Mr. Amaga reminded the students that leadership comes with responsibility.

He urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the university.

The newly elected executives are Okeke Marvel, President; Wori Hachikaru, Vice President; and Enyia Ogbuefi, Secretary-General.

Others are Omo-Okoroh Praise, Deputy Secretary-General; Emeruem Vivian, Treasurer; Haruna Mustapha, Financial Secretary; Nwogbidi Karen, Director of Socials; and Anikwelu Chizaram, Auditor.

Also elected were Dajan Emmanuella, Secretary for Publicity, and Enenmoh Rosemary, Secretary for Welfare.
