The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, has expressed appreciation to the University community for the goodwill and support extended to him as he assumes office.
The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, has expressed appreciation to the University community for the goodwill and support extended to him as he assumes office.
In a goodwill message addressed to Council, Senate, staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders, Professor Fawehinmi described his appointment as a great honour and reaffirmed his commitment to working collaboratively with all segments of the University to advance its mission.
He outlined key priorities of his administration to include strengthening academic excellence through research and innovation, promoting a supportive and enabling environment for staff and students, and enhancing the overall University experience.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized his confidence in the collective capacity of the University community to build an institution anchored on national unity, inclusiveness, scholarship, and service to society.
Professor Fawehinmi also disclosed plans to engage closely with faculties, units, and stakeholders in the coming period to jointly chart a clear path for the sustained growth and development of the University. He called for cooperation, commitment, and shared purpose in repositioning UNIABUJA for greater national relevance and global competitiveness.
He concluded by thanking members of the University community for their continued support.
