The Governing Council of Newgate University, Minna, has held a strategic meeting to assess the institution’s recent achievements and chart new directions for sustained growth and excellence.

During the session, the Council commended the University Management for its visionary leadership and outstanding accomplishments, particularly the attainment of the Full Operational Licence and Full Accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for ten academic programmes. These achievements underscore the University’s strong commitment to quality education, academic integrity, and institutional advancement.
A major highlight of the meeting was the Council’s approval of the maiden Convocation Ceremony, which will mark the graduation of the University’s pioneer students — a historic milestone that represents the realization of Newgate University’s mission to produce innovative and globally competitive leaders.
Deliberations also focused on strategies to maintain academic standards, deepen partnerships, and strengthen infrastructure, staff development, and research capacity.
