As part of its Community Engagement Project, students of Newgate University, Minna, have extended a hand of service to Anguwan Zakka Primary School through a meaningful renovation exercise that transformed the learning environment for pupils.

The project included repairing leaking roofs, fixing damaged ceilings, and restoring broken tables and chairs. Previously, the classrooms were nearly unusable during the rainy season — but now, pupils can learn in a safe, comfortable, and fully restored environment.

In appreciation, the Anguwan Zakka school community expressed deep gratitude to the university management for the kind intervention. A Letter of Appreciation was presented to the university, symbolizing mutual respect and a lasting partnership.

While receiving the visiting community leaders, the Registrar, Alh. Abdullahi Mohammed, reaffirmed that Newgate University is committed to raising students not just for academic excellence but for service, empathy, and community transformation.
Together, they are not just rebuilding classrooms — they are rebuilding hope, shaping impact, and strengthening community bonds.
