Nile University Hosts NILE–AFEA 2026 International Conference on Africa’s Geoeconomic Development Agenda

Nile University of Nigeria has proudly hosted the NILE–AFEA 2026 International Conference, bringing together renowned scholars, policymakers, industry leaders, and development experts from Africa, North America, and Europe.

Organised by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, FASS, in partnership with the African Finance and Economic Association, AFEA, Washington, D.C., the conference explored the theme, “Africa’s Geoeconomic Development Agenda in a Global Realignment Era.”

With delegates from eight countries in attendance, the two-day event fostered meaningful dialogue on critical issues including development finance, artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, governance, climate resilience, energy transition, and regional integration. Discussions focused on advancing partnerships and proffering practical solutions for Africa’s sustainable growth.

The conference also provided a platform for cross-continental collaboration, knowledge exchange, and policy recommendations aimed at positioning Africa to navigate global realignments and drive inclusive development.

In his remarks, the leadership of Nile University reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, thought leadership, and shaping conversations that will define Africa’s future.
