Nile University of Nigeria's basketball team, the Nile Spartans, has made history by winning the gold medal at the 27th Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) Tournament held in Jos.

The team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, sweeping all four group-stage matches and securing a semifinal victory against the University of Jos with a score of 99-52. In the grand finale, the Nile Spartans defeated Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU) 73-61, claiming the top spot.

In addition to their basketball triumph, Nile University of Nigeria also excelled in chess, winning two gold medals and trophies.
