Northwest University Kano Forms Monitoring Task Force to Enforce Commencement of Lectures

Northwest University Kano Forms Monitoring Task Force to Enforce Commencement of Lectures

The Management of Northwest University Kano has issued a formal announcement to the university community alerting academic staff to the low level of compliance with the approved academic calendar.

According to the calendar, lectures for the second semester were scheduled to begin on Monday, 24 November 2025; however, a significant number of lecturers have failed to meet this deadline, causing delays in academic activities.

In response, the university has established a Monitoring Task Force that will commence oversight duties on Monday, 1 December 2025. The task force will visit faculties, departments and lecture venues to verify that lectures are proceeding as scheduled. All academic staff have been urged to adhere strictly to the lecture timetable and commence teaching without further delay. Students are also encouraged to attend classes as planned.

The university’s Management emphasized its commitment to maintaining academic excellence and ensuring the timely delivery of programmes, calling on staff cooperation to achieve these goals.
