NSUK Named Nigeria's Best in Capital Market Education, Vice-Chancellor Receives CMAN Honour
Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has been named the Most Outstanding University in Nigeria in Capital Market Education at the 2026 Capital Market Academics of Nigeria (CMAN) Conference and Award Ceremony, while its Vice-Chancellor, Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, received the Capital Market Academics Amazon Award for exemplary leadership.
Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has been named the Most Outstanding University in Nigeria in Capital Market Education at the 2026 Capital Market Academics of Nigeria (CMAN) Conference and Award Ceremony, while its Vice-Chancellor, Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, received the Capital Market Academics Amazon Award for exemplary leadership.

The dual recognition highlights the university's contributions to capital market education, research and professional capacity development in Nigeria.
Announcing the awards, CMAN President Uche Uwaleke said NSUK was recognised for its pioneering role in advancing capital market education in the country.
According to him, the university became the first in Nigeria to establish a full-fledged Department of Securities and Investment Management and the first in Africa to establish an Institute of Capital Market Studies.
He added that the institute currently offers National Universities Commission (NUC)-approved postgraduate programmes in Capital Market Studies and related disciplines, making NSUK a leading institution for specialised capital market education on the continent.
The CMAN Awards Committee also honoured Professor Liman with the Capital Market Academics Amazon Award in recognition of her leadership and contributions to strengthening teaching, research, innovation and capacity development in capital market studies.
The award also acknowledged her commitment to expanding specialised academic programmes that have further positioned NSUK as a leader in the field.
The awards were received on behalf of the university and the Vice-Chancellor by former Vice-Chancellor Muhammad Akaro Mainoma during the national award ceremony held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Multimedia Centre, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Headquarters, Central Business District, Abuja.

Professor Mainoma later presented the awards to Professor Liman during a brief ceremony at the Vice-Chancellor's office.
NSUK said the latest recognition further reflects its commitment to academic innovation, institutional excellence and the production of globally competitive graduates equipped to contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria's capital market and financial sector.
