NSUK Partners with Digital Press International to Launch Waste-to-Wealth Green Economy Initiative

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), on Monday, 2nd February 2026, received a delegation from Digital Press International (DPI) at the Council Chamber of the University.

Leading the delegation, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibukun Oluwasegun expressed appreciation to the University Management for the warm reception accorded her team during their second visit to the University. She recalled that during their initial engagement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, had shown keen interest in embracing the Waste-to-Wealth Green Economy Project.

She stated that the purpose of the visit was to formalise the partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which would pave the way for the commencement of the initiative at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Responding on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Maikano Mohammed Ari, thanked the delegation for choosing NSUK for the project. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable development, noting that the initiative aligns perfectly with the institution’s vision of promoting a green campus. He thereafter formally declared the commencement of the signing of the MoU.

In his vote of thanks, the Registrar, Dr. Bala I. Ahmed II, congratulated both parties on the successful establishment of the partnership. He assured the delegation of the University’s readiness for the immediate take-off of the project and its successful implementation.

The highlights of the meeting included the exchange and signing of the MoU, after which group photographs were taken to commemorate the significant engagement.
