NSUK VC commissions Faculty of Adminstration
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed has tasked Faculty members of the University on generation of innovative ideas that will bring positive development to the University.
The Vice-Chancellor gave the charge when he commissioned the Professorial building constructed by the Faculty of Administration on Wednesday 19th July 2023.
Professor Suleiman congratulated the management of the Faculty of Administration for being the first to come up with such an initiative idea also praised the Deanery for the cooperation and synergy that exist between staff and students of the Faculty and for pulling resources together for the construction of the magnificent edifice.
The Vice-Chancellor paid glowing tributes to the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Muhammad Akaro Mainoma for providing the enabling environment for the generation of such developmental ideas to thrive which has resulted in the construction of the building that is being commissioned. He challenged other Faculties to emulate the Faculty of Administration by bringing up projects and ideas that will add value not just to their Faculties, but the entire University. Professor Suleiman used the opportunity to thank the Faculty for the support his administration has enjoyed which has resulted in the modest progress he has achieved.
He also praised the efforts of the Dean, of the Faculty, Professor Barnabas Barde for concluding the project that was initiated by his predecessor, Professor Hassan Ibrahim, and other faculty members for the roles they have played in the project and for the synergy and cooperation they have exhibited so far. In their separate remarks, the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, and newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Prime University Abuja, Professor Muhammad Akaro Mainoma, and the Dean of Faculty of Administration, Professor Barnabas Barde eulogized the former Dean's of the Faculty who were the brains behind the project and to students of all levels and Departments of the Faculty of Administration for pulling resources together to fund the construction of the magnificent edifice.
Highlights of the occasion were the official commissioning of the building and a guided tour of the new building by the Vice-Chancellor and other dignitaries present.
