NUC Conducts Resource Verification at North-Eastern University Gombe, Commends Institution's Readiness for Postgraduate Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has carried out a resource verification exercise at North-Eastern University, Gombe, as part of its mandate to ensure quality and standards in postgraduate education.

During the exercise, the NUC team inspected facilities at the School of Postgraduate Studies and other academic departments slated for postgraduate programmes.

The delegation assessed critical resources including lecture theatres, laboratories, libraries, ICT facilities, staffing profile and other support infrastructure required for effective delivery of postgraduate education.

Speaking during the inspection, members of the NUC team expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation and commended the university management for putting in place adequate human and material resources in line with NUC benchmarks.

They noted that North-Eastern University has demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and readiness to commence and expand its postgraduate offerings.

The management of North-Eastern University, led by the Vice-Chancellor, appreciated the NUC team for the thorough exercise and reaffirmed the institution's commitment to maintaining high academic standards, quality assurance and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

The university stated that the verification exercise marks a significant step in its drive to strengthen postgraduate training, research and innovation.

North-Eastern University Gombe continues to position itself as an emerging centre for quality higher education in the North-East and Nigeria at large.
