OGITECH Partners with Chinese Varsity to Launch Chinese Language Training
The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, has partnered with Fujian University of Technology, Fujian, China, to introduce Chinese language training for students.
The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, has partnered with Fujian University of Technology, Fujian, China, to introduce Chinese language training for students.
The collaboration was formalized during a visit by delegates from Fujian University of Technology on Tuesday, 26th August, 2025.
During the visit, Dr. Oluyemi Odutola, Deputy Rector of OGITECH, representing the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, emphasized the institution’s commitment to fostering partnerships with industries within the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area. According to Dr. Odutola, the programme is designed to equip students with practical skills that address Nigeria’s immediate developmental needs.

Dr. Odutola also stated that the Chinese language training programme is set to commence soon, with a dedicated facility already allocated for the classes. He reiterated OGITECH management’s dedication to providing consultancy services, leadership training, and national skills acquisition programmes to support the state’s industries.
Leading the Fujian University delegation, Mr. Jiang Liang highlighted the university’s intention to collaborate with OGITECH and their affiliated company, which produces paint using raw materials sourced locally in Nigeria.

Representing the China Ministry of Education, Mrs. Wendy expressed satisfaction with OGITECH’s readiness to host the programme and pledged the Chinese Government’s support to ensure a positive impact in Nigeria through innovation and enhanced communication skills.

According to Dr. Oluyemi Odutola, this partnership will expand opportunities for OGITECH staff and students to acquire additional skills and strengthen collaboration between OGITECH and the Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone.
