Ogun Gov Dapo Abiodun Awards ₦91 Million in Scholarships to 1000 Students in Memory of Late Son DJ Olu

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has awarded ₦91,050,000 in scholarships to 1000 students across primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions in memory of his late son, Gbemiga Abiodun, also known as DJ Olu. The initiative, part of the Gbemiga Abiodun Memorial Education Support Programme, aims to support indigent students and honor Gbemiga's legacy of generosity and entrepreneurship.

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has awarded scholarships worth ₦91,050,000 to 1000 students across primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions through the Gbemiga Abiodun Memorial Education Support Programme, established in honor of his late son, Gbemiga Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Olu.

During the second edition of the program, held on Monday at Christ Apostolic Grammar School in Iperu-Remo, ₦39,750,000 was awarded to 159 beneficiaries from nine tertiary institutions, while ₦14,700,000 and ₦36,600,000 were given to 294 primary school pupils and 366 secondary school students, respectively. Governor Abiodun emphasized that his son’s generosity and entrepreneurial spirit inspired the scholarship initiative, which began in 2023 and continues to expand. He also introduced a new "Creative Students Category" in honor of DJ Olu's legacy in the creative industry.
