UNIMAID Introduces Free Campus Shuttle Service

In response to concerns over inadequate transportation on campus, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele, has initiated a solution.

On Monday 7th October 2024, the University of Maiduguri Consultancy Services LTD  deployed two buses to provide complimentary transportation for students.

The free campus shuttle service, part of UNIMAID Consult's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, aims to enhance students' mobility and convenience. Operating daily from Mondays to Fridays, the shuttle service will run during peak hours:6:30 am - 10:00 am- 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Students can travel between the University Park and the Complex area without incurring costs.

According to Ahmad Jime, PhD, Coordinator of Academic Programmes, this initiative demonstrates UNIMAID Consult's commitment to supporting the university community. This development is expected to improve student experience and accessibility on campus.
