NECO Accredits More Foreign Schools for SSCE, BECE Examinations

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has accredited additional foreign schools in Niger Republic and Equatorial Guinea to conduct the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
A NECO accreditation team visited the schools to assess their readiness for the examinations, inspecting classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer labs, workshops, examination halls, and sports facilities. After a comprehensive evaluation, the schools were granted full accreditation for both the SSCE and BECE.
This accreditation is part of NECO's efforts to expand its global presence and provide quality education and assessments beyond Nigeria. With this expansion, NECO is positioning itself as a leading examination body in Africa, offering opportunities for students worldwide to benefit from its expertise.
In related news, the ongoing NECO SSCE examination is being held at the UhhCR School in Diffa, Niger Republic, marking it as the first NECO SSCE external center outside Nigeria. NECO examinations are also conducted in Benin Republic, Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger Republic, Equatorial Guinea, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
