NANNIS-UDUS Conducts Physical Verification for Niger State Scholarship Applicants

The National Association of Niger State Students (NANNIS), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) Chapter, conducted a physical verification exercise for 2024/25 Niger State scholarship applicants on Monday, March 17, 2025.

The event, held at the SUG Secretariat, UDUS Main Campus, was overseen by officials from the Niger State Scholarship Board, representatives from the UDUS Registrar and Dean of Student Affairs offices, and the NANNIS-UDUS President.

Over 150 applicants participated in the process, which was described as arduous due to the challenges of traveling to the venue and following the process under the current conditions.

Applicants expressed diverse hopes and expectations following the verification, with some sharing desperate situations and others expressing optimism about receiving the scholarship.

Comrade Sen. Jatto Abdulsamad Abubakar, NANNIS Chairman, assured applicants that the N500 fee collected for receipts would be refunded through a transparent process.

The Chairman concluded, "We assure applicants that, Insha'Allah, at least 95 percent of them will benefit from this scholarship. My administration aims to leave a lasting positive impact on this association."
