Bayero University Kano Sets Record Straight on Admission Process

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has issued a statement to clarify misleading reports circulating online regarding its admission process. The university categorically denies allegations of irregularities, stating that the claims are false and distort facts.

The controversy pertains to the 2021/2022 Direct Entry admissions, where BUK's screening process uncovered applications supported by fake results. In line with its zero-tolerance policy on academic fraud, the university denied admission to such applicants.

BUK's actions were commended by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), which applauded the university's vigilance and commitment to due process. In recognition of its integrity, BUK was honored with the Award of Excellence and Due Diligence by JAMB in 2023, becoming the first university in Nigeria to receive such recognition.
