Chrisland University, Owode, Abeokuta, in collaboration with the Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA), will host a major Herbal Medicine Conference from October 14-17, 2024. Themed "Traditional and Herbal Medicine: Challenges and Prospects for Translational Research," the event will bring together researchers, clinicians, pharmacists, herbal medicine practitioners, regulatory officers, and postgraduate students.
Key conference thematic areas include clinical and translational research of phytotherapies, intellectual property rights, commercialization and economic benefits of herbal medicine, and the standardization and regulation of phytotherapies. Esteemed speakers such as Professor M. Emeje of the NNMDA, Professor O. M. Iwu from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Professor R. Appiah-Opong from the University of Ghana are slated to speak.
The conference will feature both onsite registration and product exhibitions, with a call for abstracts open to participants until October 3, 2024.
