Prof. Adamu Ahmed Takes Over as ABU 13th Vice-Chancellor

Professor Adamu Ahmed has taken over as the 13th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, from Professor Kabiru Bala. The hand-over ceremony took place at the University Senate Chambers on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Professor Ahmed pledged to serve with diligence, humility, and fairness, aiming to enhance the university's academic excellence. He expressed hope to close the gap for timely impactful research that would create wealth and bring meaningful innovation.

The outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kabiru Bala, congratulated his successor and wished him a successful tenure. The Ag. Registrar, Dr. Aliyu Dalha Kankia, commended Professor Bala for his leadership and welcomed Professor Ahmed.
