Professor Janet Ademola Delivers Historic 613th Inaugural Lecture at University of Ibadan

Professor Janet Ayobami Ademola, a distinguished Professor of Radiation and Health Physics, has successfully delivered the 613th Inaugural Lecture of the University of Ibadan (UI) on behalf of the Faculty of Science.

The high-profile academic presentation was delivered at the university’s main auditorium, marking the 10th lecture in the institution's inaugural series for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Speaking on behalf of the Faculty of Science, Professor Ademola delivered her lecture under the compelling title, "Invisible Friend or Foe Made Visible Through Science."

Her presentation focused extensively on the dual nature of environmental radiation and health physics, exploring how scientific diagnostics can safely manage and visualize invisible radioactive forces to protect public health while advancing medical and industrial technologies.
