On October 3, 2025, the Executive Council of the Rivers State University Alumni Association paid a courtesy visit to the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Okey Wali, SAN.
During the meeting, the Pro-Chancellor outlined his inspiring vision of transforming Rivers State University (RSU) into a globally recognized institution. He emphasized the crucial role of the Alumni Association in achieving this goal, describing alumni as true ambassadors of the University who carry its legacy and reputation across the world.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Isaac Zeb-Obipi, commended the Alumni body for their steadfast commitment and contributions to the growth and development of the University.
In her remarks, the Global President of the Alumni Association, Lady Perekebina Berezi, congratulated the Pro-Chancellor on his appointment and reaffirmed the Association’s dedication to partnering with the University in realizing the dreams of its founding fathers.
The meeting was attended by members of the Governing Council and Principal Officers of the University, marking yet another step in strengthening the bond between the University’s leadership and its alumni community.
