Rivers State University Gets New Acting Registrar

Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, has announced the appointment of Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo as its new Acting Registrar, effective 15th December 2025. She succeeds Dr. I. B. S. Harry, whose tenure as Registrar has concluded.

Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, has announced the appointment of Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo as its new Acting Registrar, effective 15th December 2025. She succeeds Dr. I. B. S. Harry, whose tenure as Registrar has concluded.

Dr. Daminabo previously served as Director of the Establishment Division and was the most senior Director within the University’s administrative cadre. She is an alumna of RSU, holding a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Sociology, as well as a Doctorate in Human Resource Management.

Her career at RSU began in 1994 following a transfer from Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, where she had served as Administrative Officer II since 1988. She steadily rose through the ranks, achieving the position of Director in 2017.

Dr. Daminabo is a distinguished professional, holding fellowships in the Institute of Corporate Administration and the Institute of Policy Management and Leadership Development (FIPLD). She is also a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) and the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA).
