Rivers State University Governing Council Confirms Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo as Registrar

The 15th Governing Council of the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has approved the appointment of Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo as Registrar of the University.  

Until her appointment as Registrar, Dr. Daminabo was the Acting Registrar, a position she had held since 15th December, 2025.  

The Registrar, Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo, holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Master of Science in Sociology and a Doctorate Degree in Human Resource Management. She joined the services of the University in 1994 as Administrative Officer I through a transfer of service from the Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, where she was employed as Administrative Officer II in 1988. She rose through the ranks to the position of a Director in 2017.  

She is a Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration; Fellow, Institute of Policy Management and Leadership Development (FIPLD); Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM); and Member, Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA).  

Her appointment takes effect from 11th June, 2026.
