Sahib Al-Kutub Nigeria Ltd Donates Books to Kano State Polytechnic to Support Library Rebuilding
As part of efforts to support the restoration of Kano State Polytechnic's Central Library following the recent fire incident that destroyed the facility, Sahib Al-Kutub Nigeria Ltd, a general contractor and supplier of books, publishing materials, and library equipment, has donated a collection of recent academic books to the Institution.
Speaking during the presentation of the books, the Managing Director of Sahib Al-Kutub Nigeria Ltd, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, expressed the company's sympathy to the management, staff, and students of Kano State Polytechnic over the unfortunate incident.
He stated that, having served as a reputable supplier of books, library resources, and publishing materials across Northern Nigeria for more than two decades, the company fully understands the indispensable role libraries play in teaching, learning, research, and intellectual development. He noted that the donation was made to contribute, in a modest way, to the Institution's ongoing efforts to rebuild and restock its Central Library.
Alhaji Ibrahim further reaffirmed the company's commitment to partnering with Kano State Polytechnic in reequipping and restoring the library to a standard that reflects the Institution's academic reputation and aspirations.

Receiving the donated books on behalf of the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA, the Deputy Rector (Academic), Engr. Dr. Ibrahim Usman Aikawa, expressed the Institution's profound appreciation to Sahib Al-Kutub Nigeria Ltd for the thoughtful and timely intervention.
He described the donation as a demonstration of corporate responsibility and solidarity, noting that the gesture would significantly complement the Polytechnic's ongoing efforts to restore the Central Library. He added that the management remains committed to rebuilding a modern, well-equipped library capable of meeting the academic and research needs of staff and students.
Dr. Aikawa assured the donors that the books would be judiciously utilized for the benefit of the Polytechnic community, while calling on other individuals, corporate organizations, development partners, and well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the laudable gesture by supporting the Institution's library restoration initiative.
Present during the books reception were: The Registrar, Mukhtar Ibrahim Bello; the Polytechnic Librarian, Mal. Gazali Saleh; the Ag. Director, School of Management Studies, Mahmoud Datti Yola; the Ag. Director, School of Technical and Vocational Education, Dr. Ahmad Nuhu, and other management staff of the Polytechnic who commended the company for its generous contribution towards strengthening education and research.
