Student Union Seeks Relocation of FRSC Checkpoint Near FCE(T) Gombe

The Student Union Government of Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe, has written to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Gombe State Command, Executive Governor of Gombe State, and the college administration, urging them to relocate a checkpoint near the school gate.

The students claim that the checkpoint is causing disturbances and hazards, putting them at risk of accidents and hindering their access to the school. Despite previous requests, FRSC personnel have refused to relocate to a more suitable location.

The Student Union Government is seeking the intervention of the authorities to resolve the issue peacefully. They fear that if the issue is not addressed, it may escalate into a more serious situation. The Secretary General of the Student Union Government, Comrade Babangida Abdullahi, has appealed to the authorities to direct the FRSC personnel to relocate the checkpoint away from the school gate.
