Sule Lamido University Mourns the Passing of Final-Year Student
Sule Lamido University (SLUK) is mourning the loss of Fatima Datti Muhammad, a 400-level B.A. Hausa student, who passed away on March 24, 2025, after a prolonged illness. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, led a delegation of university officials and student representatives to attend her Janazah and extend condolences to her family.

The Sule Lamido University (SLUK) community is in mourning following the passing of Fatima Datti Muhammad, a 400-level student of the Department of Nigerian Languages and Linguistics, Faculty of Humanities. She passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, after a prolonged illness.
Fatima, who was pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Hausa, was a dedicated student with Registration Number HUM/20/HAU/1042. Her death has left a deep void in the hearts of her colleagues, lecturers, and the entire university community.
In a show of solidarity and condolence, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, FCASSON, MNAE, led a delegation comprising principal officers, management staff, and representatives of the Students' Union Government to attend the Janazah and offer condolences to her family.
During the visit, Professor Yakasai extended heartfelt sympathies to Malam Datti Muhammad Auyo, the father of the deceased. He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant Fatima eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and for her family to find strength in this difficult time.
The University community continues to express grief over the loss of one of its own, offering prayers and support to the bereaved family.
