Sule Lamido University Opens 2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening, Releases Cut-Off Marks
Sule Lamido University (SLU), Kafin Hausa, has commenced registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) admission screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution.
Sule Lamido University (SLU), Kafin Hausa, has commenced registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) admission screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution.
The university invited all first-choice UTME and Direct Entry applicants to participate in the online screening, while candidates who did not initially choose SLU but scored at least 150 in the 2026 UTME have been advised to change their first-choice institution to SLU through JAMB before applying.
Eligibility Requirements
UTME applicants must possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent.
Direct Entry candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit in the National Diploma (ND), Merit in the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or at least seven points in the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE). The minimum Direct Entry cut-off for all programmes is seven points.

Registration Procedure
The online screening registration commenced on Monday, July 27, 2026, and will close at midnight on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Applicants are required to visit https://www.slu.edu.ng or https://admissions.slu.edu.ng to complete the registration process.
Candidates are to log in using their UTME or Direct Entry details, upload a recent passport photograph, update their personal information, and upload their O'Level results. Direct Entry applicants are also required to upload their A'Level qualifications.
Applicants must pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000, excluding Remita charges, through any commercial bank, debit card, or the Remita platform. After payment, candidates are expected to print their acknowledgement slip.
Required Documents for Successful Candidates
Admitted candidates will be required to present the following during registration:
- Acknowledgement slip
- Evidence of payment
- UTME result or Direct Entry registration slip
- SSCE statement(s) of result
- Two recent passport-sized photographs with white background
- Certificate of indigeneship
- Birth certificate or declaration of age
- A'Level statement of result (for Direct Entry candidates only)
The university advised candidates wishing to change their institution or programme through JAMB to do so within the registration period. Applicants were also reminded to upload their credentials to their JAMB profile, as failure to complete the online screening before the deadline will disqualify them from consideration for admission into the 2026/2027 academic session.
