The seminar, organised by the Directorate of Research, Innovations and Product Development (DRIPDEV), brought together faculty members from different disciplines for structured intellectual engagement and knowledge exchange.
A key highlight of the session was a presentation by the Head of the Department of Languages, Mr. Adetunji O. Adelokun, who delivered a paper titled “The Poetics of Care and the Politics of Health.” The presentation explored the intersection between literature, healthcare systems, and broader societal dynamics, emphasizing how humanities-based perspectives can inform health discourse and policy thinking.
The session was positioned as part of a broader institutional strategy to break disciplinary silos and promote collaborative problem-solving within the university ecosystem.
Management of Thomas Adewumi University stated that the initiative aligns with its long-term academic roadmap focused on research intensity, innovation-driven teaching, and practical knowledge production.
According to the organisers, the seminar series is expected to become a recurring platform for faculty engagement, aimed at strengthening intellectual output and encouraging cross-disciplinary research that addresses real-world challenges.
