TETFund Executive Secretary Commissions Landmark Academic and Research Projects at Modibbo Adama University
Modibbo Adama University (MAU) reached a transformative milestone on Friday, December 19, 2025, with the official commissioning of several high-impact infrastructure projects funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc. Sonny S.T. Echono, inaugurated a suite of state-of-the-art facilities designed to bolster the university’s capacity for medical, legal, and scientific education. The newly commissioned projects.
During a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Umar, Arc. Echono praised the university management for their prudent utilization of resources. He emphasized that these facilities align with TETFund’s strategic mandate to provide sustainable, world-class learning environments across Nigerian tertiary institutions.
In his welcome address, Prof. Umar expressed deep appreciation for TETFund’s consistent support, describing the interventions as "transformative" for MAU’s academic output. While assuring the optimal maintenance of the new assets, the Vice-Chancellor also advocated for future support in campus security infrastructure—including perimeter fencing and CCTV systems—and the construction of a dedicated Senate Building.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of an Award of Excellence to Arc. Echono by the University Management, recognizing his sustained contributions to the advancement of Nigerian higher education infrastructure.
