TSU Expands CBT Centre from 250 to 400 Computer Systems

Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo, is expanding its Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre from 250 to 400 computer systems under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sunday Paul Bako.

During an inspection of the ongoing upgrade, Professor Bako reviewed the installation of additional computer systems, the expansion of the solar power system and the upgrade of the inverter system from 10KVA to 30KVA.

The project also includes the installation of 54 solar panels rated at 550 watts each, with a combined capacity of approximately 29.7KW. About 300 safari chairs are also being provided to improve seating arrangements and create a more conducive environment for examinations.

The development reflects the Vice-Chancellor’s commitment to strengthening digital infrastructure and advancing technology-driven academic and administrative operations at the University.

Professor Bako emphasised that a reliable and well-equipped CBT facility is essential to meeting the growing demand for computer-based examinations.

Upon completion, the upgraded centre will serve as a major examination hub for TSU and other examination activities across Taraba State, further enhancing the University’s capacity to provide efficient, modern and conducive digital assessment facilities.

The expansion represents a significant investment in the future of digital education and examination infrastructure at Taraba State University.
