Two Modibbo Adama University Scholars Secure Spots in Nigeria’s Top 500 Research Rankings

Modibbo Adama University, Yola continues to strengthen its reputation in the academic community, as two of its distinguished scholars have been recognized among the Top 500 Research Authors in Nigeria for 2026 by Elsevier through its SciVal ranking.

The scholars are Dr. Edwin Samson Eyube of the Physics Department and Dr. Umar Muhammad Modibbo of the Operations Research Department. Their recognition reflects the growing research visibility and scholarly impact of the university.

According to available citation metrics, Dr. Eyube has recorded 741 citations on Google Scholar, while Dr. Modibbo has achieved an impressive 1,471 citations, demonstrating the significant influence of their research contributions within the global academic community.
