UCH Ibadan Partners with Crosswijk Surgeries for Advanced Neurosurgical Training

Crosswijk Surgeries Limited (Nigeria) in collaboration with Neurosurgical Department, University College Hospital(UCH), Ibadan held a 3-day training programme and live demonstration of Cranial 3D navigator V.20, on 23rd February 2026, at the main theater of the Hospital.

Prof. Abiodun Adeolu, the head of NeuroSurgical Department in his address appreciated the management of UCH, for sponsoring and supporting the training exercise.

He further stated that the Neuro Navigator is for Cranial and spine surgeries. The Cranial 3D navigator V.20 would help Neurosurgeons to precisely locate and map out the Tumor in 3D, plan safe entry points and avoid critical brain areas like motor or language Zones. The machine is also autoclavable, it can be used for more than 80 procedures.

 He also noted that the essence of training and live demonstration of the equipment, is to show both the Neuro- doctors and theater Nurses, on how to operate it.

In his remarks, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo thanked the Neurosurgical team for their warm reception, and also the Crosswijk company, led by, Mrs. Chinonso Ugwuneri, for coming through for the training exercise. 

The CMD assured the Crosswijk company of more collaborations and the management's continuous support.
