UDUS Faculty of Social Sciences Announces 9th National Conference

The Faculty of Social Sciences at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, is set to host its 9th National Conference.

The conference, themed "Insecurities, Vulnerabilities and Social Protection: Insights from the Social Sciences," is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the university's permanent site auditorium.

The event will be hosted by the Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Professor Bashir Garba (MFR), with Professor C.U. Aliyu, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, serving as the event's host. The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, an Emeritus scholar.

Distinguished guests expected at the conference include Professor M.Z. Umar, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi, who will chair the occasion, and Professor (Ambassador) M.A. Wali and Professor Muhammad J. Kuna, who will be present as special guests of honour. Additionally, Alhaji Sani Umar Jabbi, the Sarkin Yaki of Gagi, will grace the event as the royal father of the day.
