UDUS Issues Critical Notice to Prospective Corps Members Ahead of NYSC Registration

The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), through its Nigeria Educational Repository and Data Bank (NERD) Office, has directed all Batch ‘B’ Stream I Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to submit essential documents and personal information required for their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) registration.

The directive was contained in a notice dated June 3, 2026, and signed by the University NERD Focal Officer, Mahmud Muhammad Isah. It was addressed to graduating students preparing for the upcoming NYSC mobilization exercise.

According to the notice, all affected prospective corps members are required to submit a copy of their Notification of Result alongside key personal details, including their National Identification Number (NIN), functional email address, phone number, and date of birth.

The university explained that the information is necessary for the completion of PCM registration on the Nigeria Educational Repository and Data Bank (NERD) platform, which is used for the processing and verification of graduate records for NYSC mobilization.

The circular further warned that candidates who fail to complete or properly comply with the requirements on the NERD portal may encounter difficulties during the mobilization process and risk being excluded from camp registration.

“To facilitate the completion of PCM registration with the Nigeria Educational Repository and Data Bank (NERD), candidates with incomplete or partial compliance on the NERD portal may not be registered for camp,” the notice stated.

Students were advised to submit the required documents to the University NERD Record Officer at the Directorate of Academic Affairs, Room 515, or Room 510 of the Student Affairs Division.

The university fixed Monday, June 8, 2026, as the deadline for submission and urged all affected graduates to comply promptly to avoid delays in their NYSC mobilization process.

The development comes as tertiary institutions across Nigeria intensify efforts to ensure that prospective corps members meet all documentation and verification requirements ahead of the commencement of the NYSC Batch ‘B’ Stream I registration exercise.
