UI DVC Emphasizes Importance of Libraries in National Development

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the University of Ibadan, Professor Peter Olapegba, has highlighted the significance of libraries in learning, research, and national development. Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) and the University Librarian, Professor Olapegba emphasized that libraries are the foundation of educational and developmental progress.

The LRCN is hosting a capacity-building workshop at the University of Ibadan, themed "Augmented and Virtual Reality: Application in Library Operations." The workshop aims to enhance the professional competence of librarians and promote the adoption of digital tools in library operations.
