Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic Confers "Queen Mother" Title on Sokoto First Lady; Honors Governor with Award of Excellence

The Management, staff and students of Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto State, proudly honor Her Excellency Haj. Dr. Fatima Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto with the distinguished title “ QUEEN MOTHER OF THE POLYTECHNIC.”

In addition, an Award of Excellence was presented to her husband, His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto FCNA, in recognition of his enduring commitment to education, youth empowerment, and the sustainable advancement of Sokoto State. His Excellency also provided full financial support for the polytechnic’s newly accredited courses.

The mission of Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic is to serve the people of Sokoto State, Nigeria, and humanity at large by promoting the advancement of knowledge, scholarship, discipline, and community service through teaching, training, research, linkages, and the promotion of excellence in character, socio-cultural, and economic development.

Her Excellency’s humanitarian initiatives and steadfast dedication to women and youth development, education advocacy, healthcare outreach, and social welfare embody this mission.

Through her impactful programs across the state, she has strengthened moral values, expanded opportunities for the vulnerable, and fostered inclusive socio-economic growth.

By championing service, compassion, and excellence of character, she exemplifies the ideals the Polytechnic seeks to instill in its students and staff. This honor celebrates her motherly leadership and invaluable contributions to the development of Sokoto State and beyond.
