UMYU Opens Postgraduate Admissions for 2024/2025 Academic Session
Candidates may undergo a selection process, including a possible entrance examination.

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for its 2024/2025 postgraduate programs. Interested applicants can apply online via the university's portal .
Programmes Available:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Master’s Degree (M.A., M.Sc.)
- Professional Master’s Degree
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Admission Requirements:
- PGD: Graduates of recognized universities or holders of HND with a minimum of Lower Credit.
- Master’s Degree: Graduates with a Second-Class Honors degree or equivalent in relevant fields.
- Professional Master’s: Bachelor’s degree holders with relevant experience or a PGD.
- PhD: Master’s degree holders with a good CGPA or Master of Philosophy with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a five-point scale.
Candidates must also meet UMYU’s matriculation requirements, including five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English and Mathematics.

- Submission: Completed forms and transcripts should be sent to the Secretary, Postgraduate School, UMYU.
