The University of Benin (UNIBEN) will hold its 363rd Inaugural Lecture on Thursday, 12th March 2026, at the Akin Deko Auditorium, Ugbowo Campus.

The event will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN.

  • Speaker: Professor Evelyn Iyose Umemezia, Professor of Human Resource Management.
  • Lecture Title: "Redefining Leadership and Gender: The Trajectory of Nigerian Women to the Boardroom"
  • Focus: The lecture will examine the pathways, challenges, and evolving role of Nigerian women in ascending to senior executive and board-level positions.
