UNIJOS Confirms Students, Staff Among Victims of Angwan Rukuba Attack in Plateau State

The attack, which reportedly claimed at least 28 lives, affected members of the university community identified as Patrick Ishaya, a 300-level Geography and Planning student; Abel Joro Gershon, a 300-level Building student; and Mr. Duguryil Ufialas Daniel, a Hall Officer at the Postgraduate Hostel.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Tanko Ishaya, visited survivors receiving treatment at the Jos University Teaching Hospital on Tuesday to assess their condition and offer institutional support.
He was accompanied by the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Education, Pankshin, Noel Wanang, and the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Rosemary Anga.

According to Ishaya, the three affected members of the university community are responding positively to treatment, adding that the institution has been reassured by the quality and speed of medical response provided by hospital authorities.
He expressed gratitude to healthcare workers for their professionalism and urged continued prayers for the recovery of the victims. He also called on members of the university community and the public to support ongoing efforts toward restoring peace and stability in the region.
