The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has announced that, starting the first week of March 2026, all staff and students will be required to visibly wear their identification cards to gain access to university campuses.

According to an internal memorandum from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, conveyed through the Security Division by Acting Chief Security Officer Agama Solomon Tangni, the policy specifies:

  • Green tags – for staff
  • Blue tags – for students

Newly admitted students will be temporarily allowed entry using their school fees receipts until official ID cards are issued.
