The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Department of Physics is set to host the June edition of its monthly seminar series on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 11 a.m. The event will take place at Physics LAB 308 within the Faculty of Science.

The seminar will feature a presentation by Dr. Humphrey Ibifubara, a Solar Energy Physicist with a specialized focus on Bioenergy. Dr. Ibifubara will deliver a talk titled "Investigation of the Effect of Specific Gravity and pH on the Fermentation Period of a Single and Combined Algae Species as a Potential Biofuel Feedstock."

Dr. Ibifubara, an esteemed member of the UNILAG Physics Department, holds a B.Tech. (Hon) Degree in Physics Electronics from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (2008), as well as M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Solar Energy Physics from the University of Lagos (2012 and 2018, respectively). His research work spans collaborations with experts from Botany, Marine Biology, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering departments, both within UNILAG and from other universities. These collaborations have resulted in numerous publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
