The University of Ilesa (UNILESA) today hosted the newly appointed Acting Chief Medical Director of the UNILESA Teaching Hospital, Professor Najeem Ajao Adeleke, during a high-profile courtesy visit to the university’s management.
The visit served as a platform for strategic alignment between the university and its clinical training arm, following the recent elevation of the institution's medical facilities.
During the engagement, the management teams exchanged accolades regarding the visionary leadership of the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. The Governor was specifically lauded for his landmark achievement in upgrading the former State General Hospital, Ilesa, into a full-fledged Tertiary Health Institution.
This transformation is regarded as a critical pillar in the university’s mission to provide world-class medical education and specialized healthcare services to the Ijesaland community and beyond.
Professor Najeem Ajao Adeleke, accompanied by his senior management team, expressed his commitment to fostering a seamless partnership with the university. The upgrade to a teaching hospital status is expected to:
