A former Public Relations Officer of the University of Maiduguri Students' Union Government, Comr. Babangida Musa, has expressed concern over the involvement of student leaders in the debate on the renaming of the institution.

In a statement, Musa urged current and former student leaders to prioritize student welfare issues rather than matters that can be handled by the university management.
