UNIMAID Governing Council Commends Governor Zulum for Education Investments

The Governing Council of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has expressed profound gratitude to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for his significant investments in the education sector in Borno State.

During a courtesy visit to the Governor on Monday, the Council's Chairman and Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Yunusa Adamu Dan Gwani, praised Zulum's efforts, stating, "We are proud of what you have been doing for the university and the education sector in general."

Governor Zulum Reaffirms Commitment to Academic Excellence

In response, Governor Zulum reassured the Governing Council of his unwavering support in restoring UNIMAID's academic excellence. "My main objective is to ensure the University of Maiduguri regains its lost glory in terms of academic excellence. I will support all initiatives from the Governing Council that promote the growth and development of the University."

Zulum also highlighted the state government's commitment to partnering with UNIMAID in research and development, focusing on security and agricultural advancement. He emphasized Borno's potential to contribute to Nigeria's food production, given its vast land mass of over 70,000 square kilometers.
