UNIPORT Announces Hostel Application Window for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced the commencement of hostel accommodation applications for students ahead of the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to a memorandum issued by the Dean, Student Affairs Department, Professor C.C. Wokocha, and addressed to the University Community, interested students who wish to secure accommodation in the university’s hostels are advised to submit their applications between Wednesday, 8th October, and Wednesday, 15th October, 2025.

The notice stated that the application process is open to all eligible students seeking on-campus housing, emphasizing that the exercise will close strictly on the stated deadline.

The Dean expressed appreciation for the cooperation of students and the university community, assuring that the process will be transparent and efficiently managed.

The memo was also copied to the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academics, Administration, and Research & Development), Registrar, Chief Security Officer (CSO), and the Students’ Union Government (SUG) for necessary coordination and supervision.

This announcement comes as part of UNIPORT’s preparations for the smooth resumption of academic activities for the new session, ensuring that students have access to adequate and comfortable accommodation facilities.
